Playing a Set
Open any set in a full-screen play-through. Navigate between songs with arrow buttons, use the play controls for each song, and start a Jam Session with your band directly from the view.
The set play-through is a full-screen view that moves you through a set song by song. It gives you the same clean reading experience as Play Mode, with set navigation built into the header.
Open the play-through
From the set editor, click Play Set. The button is disabled if the set has no songs yet.
What you see
The header shows:
- the Chordly logo, which links back to the dashboard
- the current song's title with its position number, for example
1. Amazing Grace - a progress indicator: filled dots for sets with up to 10 songs, or a
1 / 5counter for larger sets ←and→arrows to navigate between songs- Start a Jam to start a Jam Session from this set
- a pencil icon to return to the set editor
- theme, profile, and other options
Below the header, the play controls sit above the song content.
Moving between songs
Use the ← and → arrows in the header to move between songs.
The ← arrow is disabled on the first song. On the last song, the → button becomes a back-to-start button. Pressing it wraps back to the first song in the set.
Each time you move to a new song, the scroll position resets to the top. Autoscroll starts disabled on each new song.
The play controls
The play controls are available for every song. They include autoscroll, transpose, zoom, and metronome. These work the same way they do in regular Play Mode.
Zoom is remembered per song, so the level you set for a song is still there the next time you open it.
Start a Jam from here
Start a Jam in the header opens a Jam Session from this set. Everyone in the session follows the same song at the same scroll pace. For how that works, see Starting a Jam.
