Fonts and Font Size

Change the font family and font size of your song text. Supports sizes from 1 to 200px.

The font controls in the toolbar change how the document text looks.

Change the font family

Select the text you want to change, or place the caret where you want to keep typing.

Open the font menu in the toolbar.

Choose the font you want.

Fonts are grouped by style in the menu, including:

  • Monospace
  • Sans Serif
  • Serif
  • Handwriting

Change the font size

Select the text you want to resize.

Open the size menu in the toolbar.

Choose a preset size, or type your own custom value.

Chordly supports font sizes from 1px to 200px.

Use fonts and size together

The font family and font size controls work independently, so you can mix them however you want.

Common uses include:

  • making a title or section heading larger
  • increasing lyric size for stage readability
  • switching part of a song to a monospaced font for a more structured look

Chords have separate font controls

These toolbar controls are for document text. Chords can follow the lyric font by default, but they also have their own font settings when you edit a chord.

For that workflow, see Formatting Chords.
