Deleting Chords
Remove chords in Chordly with Backspace or the mouse, and understand how chord deletion differs from lyric deletion.
Deleting a chord is different from deleting lyric text underneath it.
Delete a chord with the keyboard
Move the caret onto the chord you want to remove.
Press Backspace.
When the caret is on the chord itself, Backspace removes the chord.
Delete a chord with the mouse
You can also remove a chord without using the keyboard:
Click the chord once.
Click the same chord again.
The first click arms the chord and opens its action menu. The second click removes it.
Deleting lyrics does not automatically delete the chord
If you backspace through the lyric text near a chord, Chordly does not automatically remove the chord just because the underlying character changed. The chord stays attached to the line and shifts with the text until you delete the chord itself.
If you meant to remove the chord, place the caret on the chord first. If you meant to keep the chord and only rewrite the lyric, just edit the text normally.
