Session Controls
Control a live Jam Session as the host. Start and pause the scroll, adjust timing, advance through songs in a set, and end the session — all from the session controls bar.
The session controls are visible only to the host. They sit between the song header and the song content and stay accessible throughout the session.
Desktop layout
On desktop the controls have three zones.
Left: presence and invite
- A connected devices count
- Copy link to copy the join link at any time
Center: playback
- Start fires the 4-3-2-1 countdown and begins the synchronized scroll
- Pause freezes the scroll for everyone at the exact position it stopped
- Resume fires a new countdown and continues from the paused position
- Reset returns everyone to the top of the song and restores the pre-start view
- Previous Song and Next Song move between songs in the set
Previous Song and Next Song only appear in set sessions. Single-song sessions have no navigation controls.
Right: settings
- A timer control with
−and+buttons to adjust the scroll duration in 3-second steps - End Jam ends the session for everyone
Mobile layout
On smaller screens the controls show a simplified primary row with the connected devices count, the current primary action, and a menu button.
Tapping the menu button expands a full-width panel with:
- Previous Song and Next Song (set sessions only)
- Scroll Duration with large
−and+buttons - Copy Jam Link
- End Jam
The scroll position marker
Before the session starts and while the session is paused, an amber line appears across the song content. This marker shows exactly where the scroll will begin when you press Start or Resume.
Drag the marker to any position in the song to start or resume from there.
End Jam
Clicking End Jam opens a confirmation before ending the session. Confirming ends the session for every connected device immediately.
Sessions also close automatically after 6 hours from creation, or after staying paused for 45 minutes without activity.
