Exporting a PDF
Export your song as a PDF from the Chordly editor or Play Mode. Choose page numbers, download the file, and keep your chart ready to print.
Download a PDF when you want a version of the song that is ready to print, save, or share. The same export flow is available in both the editor and Play Mode.
Export from the header
Open the song in the editor or in Play Mode.
Click the download button in the header.
In the menu that opens, click Export PDF.
Leave Include page numbers on if you want page numbers in the final file, or turn it off if you do not.
Wait for the PDF to finish generating. Chordly downloads the file automatically when it is ready.
What the export includes
The PDF keeps the same layout and formatting you made in the editor.
- chords placed over the lyrics
- guitar tab sections in the same file
- your document formatting and layout
- automatic multi-page output for longer songs
- optional page numbers
The file downloads using the song title.
Editor vs Play Mode
The export steps are the same in both places. Use whichever you have open.
PDF or ChordPro
Use PDF when you want the chart to keep its layout. If you need a ChordPro file instead, use ChordPro export.
