Download Chord Sheets and Tabs as PDF
Download your chord sheet or guitar tab as a clean multi-page PDF in Chordly. Export from the editor or Play Mode and optionally include page numbers.
PDF is the easiest way to print, save, or send a finished chart. Chordly downloads your chord sheet or guitar tab as a PDF that keeps the same layout and formatting you made in the editor.
When to use PDF
Use a PDF when you want the song to look finished and stay that way.
- Print a physical copy for rehearsal, church, lessons, or stage use
- Send a chart to a bandmate without asking them to open Chordly first
- Save a stable version of an arrangement for later
- Keep chords, lyrics, and tabs in one file instead of splitting them across formats
If you need a ChordPro file instead of a PDF, use ChordPro export.
What the PDF keeps
The PDF keeps the same chart structure you built in the editor.
Your PDF can include:
- chord sheets with chords positioned over the lyrics
- guitar tab sections in the same document
- your text formatting and document layout
- multiple pages when the song runs longer than one page
- optional page numbers
Where to download it
You can download a PDF from two places:
- the editor header while you are actively working on the song
- the Play Mode header if you want to export while viewing the finished chart
Both places use the same download menu. Open the header download button, choose Export PDF, and decide whether to leave Include page numbers turned on.
What to expect from the export
Chordly lays the document out across standard letter-sized pages automatically. If your song is short, you may get a single page. If it runs longer, Chordly splits it into multiple pages for you.
The downloaded file uses your song title as the filename. If the song does not have a title yet, Chordly falls back to Untitled.pdf.
Use it when you want a chart that is ready to print, save, or send as-is.
Next step
If you just want the exact click path, go to Exporting a PDF.
