Sharing a Jam
Share your Jam Session with a short link. Anyone can join from any device — phone, tablet, or laptop. No Chordly account required.
After a session is created, Chordly shows a welcome screen with your join link. Share it with your group before pressing Start.
The join link
Every session gets a unique join link. It looks like this:
chordly.com/join/A3KX7PThe six characters at the end are the session code. They use uppercase letters and numbers only, with visually ambiguous characters left out so the code is easy to read aloud or type by hand.
Anyone who opens the link is taken directly to the session. No Chordly account is required.
Share the link
From the welcome screen, you have two options:
- Share Link opens the native share sheet on iOS and Android so you can send the link directly from your device
- Copy Link copies it to your clipboard so you can paste it anywhere
If your device does not support native sharing, only Copy Link appears.
Copy the link mid-session
After you close the welcome screen, the join link is still available. Click Copy link in the session controls at any time during the session to copy it again.

- Does the join link expire?
- The link works for as long as the session is active. Sessions stay active for up to 6 hours from when they were created. After the session ends, the link no longer works.
- Can I share the link after the session has already started?
- Yes. Click Copy link in the session controls at any time during the session to copy the join link again. New participants can join mid-session.
- Do guests need a Chordly account to join?
- No. Anyone with the link can join directly. No account or app download is required.
