Sets
Build ordered sets of songs for rehearsal and live performance. Arrange songs, configure scroll timing, and play through your full setlist hands-free or start a Jam Session with your band.
A set is an ordered collection of songs. Build one when you want to move through a list of songs in a fixed order without switching between them one at a time.
Sets live in the dashboard alongside your song library. You create and manage them there, and when you are ready, one button opens the full-screen play-through.
The sets library
Sets is in the dashboard sidebar. Click it to see all your sets.
From there you can:
- search sets by name
- click a set to open and edit it
- delete a set using the
⋮menu on its card
The set editor
Opening a set takes you to the set editor. This is where you add songs from your library, arrange them in the right order, and set how long each one takes to scroll.
The set editor gives you:
- the set name at the top, which you can click to rename
- Add Song to pick songs from your library
- the ordered song list with drag-to-reorder, scroll duration controls, and a remove button on each row
- Play Set to open the full-screen play-through
- Start a Jam to start a Jam Session from this set
Playing through a set
Play Set opens a full-screen view that moves you through each song in order. The header shows which song you are on and how many are left. Arrow buttons let you move between songs.
Jam Sessions
You can start a Jam Session from any set. Starting one queues up every song in the set so the host can move through them with the whole group.
For how that works, see Jam Sessions.

FAQ
- What is a set in Chordly?
- A set is an ordered list of songs you build for a rehearsal, service, or performance. You arrange the songs in the order you want to play them, configure how long each one scrolls, and then play through them in sequence.
- How are sets different from my song library?
- Your song library contains all the individual songs you have created. A set is a specific ordered arrangement of songs from your library for a particular performance or rehearsal. The songs stay in your library — a set just references them in a sequence.
- Can I use sets for live performance?
- Yes. The set play-through opens a full-screen view that moves through your songs in order. You can also start a Jam Session from a set so your whole band follows along on their own devices in sync.
- How do sets work with Jam Sessions?
- Starting a Jam Session from a set queues up every song in the set. The host controls when each song starts and can advance through the set one song at a time, with a countdown before each song begins. Everyone in the session stays on the same song at the same position.
- Are sets free to use?
- Yes. Creating and playing sets is free. Starting a Jam Session from a set requires Chordly Pro.
