Adding Tab Notations
Add tab notation in Chordly by typing technique characters directly into tab cells and using measure dividers where needed.
Chordly does not use a separate notation picker for tab techniques. You add notation by typing it directly into the tab.
Type notation characters directly
Each tab cell accepts one visible character. That means notation marks are entered the same way as fret numbers.
Examples:
/for a slide marker\for a slide in the other directionhfor a hammer-on markerpfor a pull-off markerbfor a bend markerxfor a muted note
Click the tab cell where the notation should go.
Type the character you want.
Chordly moves you to the next cell automatically.
Add measure dividers
Tab Editor includes one dedicated notation control: Add Divider.
Use it when you want to break the tab into measures with vertical bar lines.
Click the tab block to put it in edit mode.
Select a cell if you want the divider added at a specific point.
Click Add Divider.
If a cell is selected, the divider is added relative to that point. If nothing is selected, it is added at the end of the tab.
Technique marks are just characters in the tab. Dividers are different: they are a dedicated tab structure control and display as full vertical measure lines across the strings.
