Autoscroll
Autoscroll automatically scrolls through your chord sheet at a set speed — perfect for hands-free performance. Control speed from 0.25x to 5x.
Use autoscroll when you want the chart to keep moving while your hands stay on the instrument.
What autoscroll does
Autoscroll moves the song for you at a steady speed so you can keep reading without manually scrolling the page.
It is most useful in Play Mode, but the editor has autoscroll controls too.
Start and stop autoscroll
Use the autoscroll control in the toolbar.
- on desktop, click the autoscroll button to start or pause it
- on smaller screens, tap the autoscroll button once to expand the speed control, then tap it again to start
- if autoscroll is already running, tapping the button pauses it
Change the speed
Autoscroll speed runs from 0.25x to 5.00x.
Use the up and down controls to change the speed in 0.25x steps. That gives you a wide enough range for slow practice, rehearsal, or a faster live performance.
What Chordly remembers
Chordly remembers the autoscroll speed, so you do not have to keep setting it again.
When to use it
Autoscroll is especially useful when:
- you are playing through a song without a page turn break
- the chart is long enough that manual scrolling gets in the way
- you want the song to move at a repeatable pace during practice
