Worship Chord Charts — Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Chordly for worship chord charts?

Yes. Chordly is built for exactly this workflow. Build chord sheets for any song, transpose to the key your team uses, organize them into a set for each service, and start a Jam Session so every musician follows along in sync.

What is a Jam Session in Chordly?

A Jam Session keeps every device in the room on the same chord sheet at the same position. The host starts a 4-3-2-1 countdown and every screen begins scrolling in sync. Guests join by opening a link. No account required. When using a set, the host advances through each song and a new countdown fires for each one.

How do I set up a Sunday morning setlist in Chordly?

Create a set in the dashboard, add your songs for that service, and arrange them in order. Set a scroll duration for each song so the timing is ready before you start. When rehearsal begins, open the set and start a Jam Session. Your whole team joins by link.

How do I transpose a worship song to a different key?

Use the transpose controls in the editor toolbar. Press the up or down button to shift all chords by a semitone. Select a section first if you only want to transpose part of the chart.

Does Chordly work with Planning Center?

Chordly can export to ChordPro format, which is compatible with Planning Center Services. Build and format your chord chart in Chordly, then export it as a ChordPro file to bring it into your Planning Center songs library.

Can I use Chordly on stage during worship service?

Yes. Play Mode works in the browser on any device: phone, tablet, or laptop. Autoscroll keeps the chord sheet scrolling hands-free. During a Jam Session, scroll is driven by the host so every musician stays at the same position without touching their screen.

Is Chordly free for worship teams?

Yes. Building chord charts, creating sets, and playing them through is free. Starting a Jam Session requires Chordly Pro. Joining a Jam Session is always free and requires no account.
